Channel Icon Refresh

Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I noticed there are quite a few channel icons that are broken.

Any chance you could do a refresh/update? No rush for me, as I have already re-mapped all my missing using the available icons from

Thanks, If you prefer a channel by channel request via support lmk but this is super low priority for me and just a UI/UX issue, nothing game breaking.

Add Broad XML Categories for Movies / Sports

The XML categories generated for most things are simply amazing, but I've recently swapped to a new service to run my local IPTV server and it wants to filter broad categories off of Category tags within the XML.

The developers of this are shit and don't let me apply the same filtering off my impeccable EPG group names that fit the already defined categories so figured I'd raise the issue here, any chance you'd be willing to add broad Category tags in the same vein as the already present <category lang="en">Newscategory> tag but instead as <category lang="en">Moviecategory> or <category lang="en">Sportscategory>?

I know this is potentially a super annoying ask but theres already tags like "Sports talk" or specific sports like "Hockey" along with movies having pretty deep tags as well that a broad "Movie" would cover too.

Default to IPTV provider EPG

It would be nice to have some sort of way to default back to the IPTV provider's EPG for channels where epg.best listing is inaccurate or not provided.

Though, I'm not sure how practical it would be, because it may cause a lot of load if 1000 people are doing this and epg.best needs to update them all to fill in the blanks.

Then again, I'm sure it can be optimized if one is willing to do the work.

Indicator for epg xml last generated

The XML is delayed to generate, and there is no reliable way to know when I should upload my new epg xml file, as I am actively working on my lineup, because sometimes you need to see the immediate results.

It would be useful to show the date of the last time the xml file was generated in the "My channels" page for "My EPG". Maybe as a bonus, it would be nice to also see if the file is currently queued to be updated, outside of the normal server update time. This will also be help zero in on the appropriate time to have Plex and/or any middleware update the for the EPG.

EPG Only for existing local Channels on Enigma2-Box / Generate own channel.conf

Dear Sir or Madame,

I would like to use epg.best as EPG Only for the existing local channels on my Enigma2-Box (VU+ Duo 4K SE).
So I would love if there will be added a second option for channel selection and editing by which I could create a own local channel.conf-File.

It should list Channel, Name, TVG-ID and provide an input field where I could insert the channel reference from my local Enigma2-BOX.

The actual system with an M3U-File (downloaded for a bouquet on Enigma2-Box) will generate new entries to the channel list by refering back to the Stream-URL of the actual channelsalready on Enigma2-Box.

This will end up in Enigma2-Box streaming its channels back to itself... (not quite sure if this will work at all)

Of course it should be possible for me to just generate a local channel.conf by myself; but I will more convenient if it could be done through a Web-GUI on epg.best.

Search Within Group

It would be fantastic to be able to search a name within a group to pull up channels faster that you want to move. Searching 100 channels at a time can be tedious.

Hello,

Can we include auto sync to the playlist we create, so it can update anything from the provider.
You have the option of selecting a time for the day and it auto syncs, rather then using the force sync function.

Auto Accept All Updates

Is there no option to auto-accept all updates? My provider updates the channel names for basketball games, PPV, and so on. I would rather not have to micro-manage the updates if possible.

Unignore Channel

Accidentally "Ignored" a channel in my lineup.

I can see the channel in my M3U file, with status: "is_ignored":2. I've poked around and cannot find a way to correct this issue.

Request: Looking for an option to expose these deleted/ignored Channels (as well as ignored Groups, I suppose).

This would not be a frequent task, so may not warrant UI support, so maybe a FAQ with manual steps to correct wold suffice.

Is there any chance of having the Series/Episode numbers be moved to the program description instead of actually having it at the end of the EPG info? Hopefully you understand what I mean.

Personally I think it would look much cleaner without the S/E info being in the EPG.

Is it possible to improve the guide info for local news?

Currently, I'm using the service with Telly and Plex and plex detects this as a movie:

But detects this as a TV show:

Considering news isn't generally re-run it seems like the air date could get calculated and stuck in for Category=News

Special characters

Hey,

I use square brackets [ ] in my whole playlist but today when I went to save a change I suddenly get an error because "special characters" are no longer allowed in the name? Is there any reason for that and is there any chance that change can be reversed please? Or at least allow square brackets?

Also I guess a lot of people probably have colons : ; in their names too if they have VOD and stuff, so I'm surprised no one else has encountered this error yet, unless it's brand new.

New Import Bulk Action

It would be great if the main import page (screen below) could have a set of the four options at the top that bulk ticked all? As uploading a new m3u every time, maybe due to a provider change or something means having to go down a sometimes huge list of groups ticking the preferred action when really I just want them all the same action? I'm probably not wording this as best as I could but I hope it makes sense.

When sorting a group by TVG-ID, any channels that don't have a matching TVG-ID from your database end up at the top of the group list.

This therefore means that any channels in the group that do not have EPG data are "up front" when imported into my IPTV viewer.

Would it be possible to have an option for any channels lacking a TVG-ID to be put at the back?

This would be a lot tidier.
